Obesity: A Health Hazard

Several studies world wide have shown that Obesity have lead to various health risks, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, or high blood sugar levels are some of the dangerous associated diseases.

Heart disease or Stroke:
Overweight people are more prone to the increase in level of blood cholesterol and blood pressure, the major risk factors for heart disease and stroke. Also, people having heart patients in their family have high risk of getting this problem in the long run, so lose in weight to an optimum level is required to avoid these risks.

About Diabetes:
Obese people have twice the chances to get the risk of diabetes, further to this, Type 2 diabetes is generally is the major cause of heart disease, stroke, blindness, and premature death.

About Cancer:
Several types of cancer are the evil consequences of obesity, including cancer of the uterus, gallbladder, cervix, ovary, breast, and colon in women; and colorectal cancer and prostate cancer in men. However, colon and breast cancers may also be due to a high-fat diet.

Gallbladder disease and Gallstones:
The risk of gall bladder disease and gall stones increase as the body weight increases and rapid weight loss may lead to increase your chances of developing gallstones. Therefore, you should aim for a gradual weight loss of about 1 pound a week.

Liver Disease:
Obesity also leads to liver inflammation and damage than alcohol intake. Obesity increases the risk of liver damage and heavy drinking can exaggerate the consequences.

Liver cancer - Osteoarthritis:
Obesity increases the risk of osteoarthritis by placing extra pressure on the joints in your knees, hips, and lower back. Weight loss can decrease stress on these parts of the body and may improve the condition of osteoarthritis.

Sleeping and Breathing Problem:
Obesity leads to sleeping problems and can increase the snoring while sleeping.This can also effects testosterone production and a reduction in the amount of growth hormone produced by the pituitary gland.
